Source traceability is the discipline that keeps Molao's AI answers honest. Nothing in an answer floats free of a source you can open and check.
What an answer carries
- Authorities — the judgments the answer relies on, each with its case name, citation and court, linking straight to the judgment.
- Legislation — the statute sections the reasoning turns on.
- Court rules — the procedural steps that apply, where relevant.
- Key excerpts — the exact paragraphs quoted, each linking to that paragraph in the judgment.
Why it matters
You should never cite an authority you have not read. Traceability means every authority behind an answer is one click from its full text, so you can confirm it says what the answer claims before you rely on it.
When there is nothing to cite
If the corpus does not hold sufficient authority, Molao tells you that rather than manufacturing a citation. That refusal is the traceability guarantee working — see the article on insufficient authority.
