POPIA Compliance

Molao is designed to comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) and the Botswana Data Protection Act 2018.

Who is the responsible party?

Molao Research (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party under POPIA for personal information processed through the Molao platform. Our Information Officer can be contacted at privacy@molao.app.

Right to access

You may request a copy of all personal information Molao holds about you.

Right to correction

You may request correction of inaccurate personal information.

Right to deletion

You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to our retention obligations.

Right to object

You may object to the processing of your personal information for specific purposes.

Right to portability

You may request your data in a machine-readable format.

Right to complain

You may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) or the Information Commissioner (Botswana).

Botswana Data Protection Act 2018

For users in Botswana, Molao also complies with the Botswana Data Protection Act 2018. The same rights listed above apply. Complaints may be directed to the Botswana Information Commissioner.
