1. Acceptance of terms

By registering for or using the Molao platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Molao.

2. Description of service

Molao is an AI-assisted legal research and matter management platform for qualified legal professionals and law students. Molao provides tools to assist legal research and matter preparation — it does not provide legal advice.

3. Professional responsibility

Molao is a tool for qualified legal practitioners. All AI outputs must be reviewed and verified by a qualified attorney or advocate before being relied upon in any professional capacity. The practitioner remains solely responsible for all legal advice, court documents, and professional communications.

4. Account registration

You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

5. Permitted use

You may use Molao only for lawful purposes in connection with legal practice or legal study. You may not use Molao to generate content intended to deceive courts, fabricate citations, or facilitate fraud.

6. Matter data

You retain ownership of all matter data you input into Molao. By inputting data, you grant Molao a limited licence to process that data solely to provide the Molao service to you. We do not use your matter data to train AI models.

7. AI outputs

AI outputs on Molao are generated by large language models and are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or current. They do not constitute legal advice. You are responsible for independently verifying any authority or conclusion before relying on it.

8. Subscription and billing

Subscriptions are billed as set out on the Pricing page. You may cancel at any time. Refunds are subject to our refund policy. We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days' notice.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Molao's liability to you for any loss arising from use of the platform is limited to the fees paid by you in the three months preceding the claim.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
