MOLAO

Turning on two-factor authentication

Add a second factor with any authenticator app. You scan a QR code, verify a six-digit code, and save one-time backup codes.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second step to sign-in, so your account — and your clients' files — stay protected even if your password is exposed. Molao uses standard time-based one-time passwords (TOTP), which work with any authenticator app.

Enabling 2FA

  1. 1Open Account, then Security, and select Enable 2FA.
  2. 2Scan the QR code with your authenticator app — Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password or similar. You can also enter the key by hand.
  3. 3Enter the six-digit code from the app to verify and enable.
  4. 4Save the backup codes you are shown. Each works once if you lose access to your authenticator.

Turning it off

To disable 2FA, return to Security and enter a current authenticator code (or a backup code) to confirm.

Store your backup codes somewhere safe and separate from your phone. Without your authenticator or a backup code, you can be locked out.
