Reading the outcome banner on a judgment

Each judgment carries an at-a-glance banner showing who won, the disposition and the costs order — plus sentencing and bail detail in criminal matters.

Open a judgment and, near the top, Molao shows an outcome banner: the quickest way to see who won and what was ordered without reading the whole judgment first.

What the banner shows

  • The disposition and which party prevailed.
  • A short statement of the holding.
  • The costs order, where there is one.

In criminal matters

For a criminal judgment the banner adds the crime types, the stage, and the sentence — flagging life imprisonment or a minimum-sentence regime where they apply, together with the aggravating and mitigating factors. Where the judgment deals with bail, it shows the bail ruling, the schedule and any amount.

The banner is an AI-derived summary. Verify it against the judgment text before you rely on it.
